Wangsan Marina

Wangsan, South Korea

Description

Wangsan Marina is a public marina that was built as a competitive sailing venue for the 2014 Asian Games, and now serves as the largest privately-owned marina in South Korea. The marina, located an hour from Seoul, has capacity for 300 yachts up to 156 feet.

With 10 meter tides and strong currents required a heavy duty pontoon system that was durable, stable and technologically advanced. The dock and piling system had to be custom engineered to meet the unique performance and loading specifications of the project. The pontoons were designed and engineered by Bellingham Marine Australia, and were manufactured by CKIPM, Bellingham’s Korean partner.
