PRESTIGIOUS AUSSIE Y.C. FINISHES MAJOR UPGRADE

September 24, 2004

The Royal Motor Yacht Club Broken Bay in Newport Beach, New South Wales, now offers world-class amenities to members and visitors alike. Bellingham Marine Australia (BMA) has completed the design/build contract for its Unifloat concrete floating docks, wave attenuator and related services. The project involved removal of the existing, fixed timber docks, which had inherent safety problems and splintering decks and provided difficult access to the boats, particularly at LOW tide.

Bellingham constructed 148 slips, featuring the company’s ultra-stable walkways and berthing fingers. This system handles craft up to 80′, and provides sideties for vessels up to 100′. Thanks to the 1,000′ wave attenuator, which incorporates extra-deep draft floats to support a new “fast-flow” fuel facility, boaters can access their craft through all tidal ranges and weather conditions.

The marina also offers swing moorings for 50 vessels. RMYC-Broken Bay is located north of Sydney and has direct access to some of the finest beaches, bays and cruising and sailing waters. The Club fits into its natural surroundings, with sandstone hills and homes on one side and Kurling Gai Chase National Park on the other. -2- RMYC-Broken Bay facilities include a bistro, restaurant, heated pool, playground, laundry, showers, fishing club and junior sailing club. Services are rendered by a marine engineer, shipwrights, electrician and boat broker.

Bellingham Marine designs, manufactures and installs floating dock systems and dry storage buildings for marinas and boat facilities worldwide. Unistack® is a registered trademark of Bellingham Marine
