Port Covington Maritime Center

Description

Port Covington was built with the environment in mind; from the living roofs to the specialized water collection system, this marina was engineered to be a green marina.

Wastewater is collected in specially designed sediment pits. It is then pumped to a wetland where the water is treated naturally before being discharged.

The attenuator has both finger piers and side-tie moorage.
Living roof on restroom structure, extra touches like this are what make this a green marina.
The marina serves as a commercial port as well as housing a well known yacht service center.
Tidewater Yacht Service is one of the most well known service centers in the Baltimore area.
Port Covington has 28 slips for vessels up to 60 ft. and side-tie moorage up to 250 ft.
The marina has a 20 ft. wide wave attenuator with finger piers.
